Who is 'your' team? Are we talking Association Football?

Naturally.

I'm a tentative Liverpool fan, tentative mainly because I am new to football, about 5 years of on-and-off interest - possibly the furthest a football 'fan' can be from an anorak. My interest in football, strangely, comes from computer games, specifically Football Manager, where I managed, erm, The Robins, took them eventually to the Premier League, but never made an impression.

And I haven't now had a tv for 3 years, so, I'm that kind of Liverpool 'fan'.

Interesting. I've never heard of anyone becoming a football fan that way.

BTW: "I'm told you're a writer..."

@Purveyor

Well, a friend of mine is/was a football fan (MU) and computer gamer; and sometimes I'd watch matches with him because we played EA Sports FIFA together. Then he introduced me to Football Manager, etc.

"I'm told you are a writer"

It's just thoughts, really.

Back to the beard: I am thinking of following Crooked and cleaning the upper lip, but I worry that, given my, erm, skin tone, it will enhance my Saracen looks. When I was a child I used to weep at the sight of such men - clean upper lips, chin wisps - who tended to be of the evangelical Saracen sorts, generally severe in temperament and outlook.

I'd also like to shape my goattee into a sharper profile, a la Lenin, but it is difficult. I always end up going too far on one side, then adjust the other side, going too far there, etc., then I have to shave it all off. Any help in this regard? I was thinking of drawing lines in felt tip to guide my shaving.
